The centre punch needle of Not Forgotten Farm's design is complete. Now have to choose and cut my wool worms.
I will share the finished project soon.
Later today I will be making a loose cover for the sofa bed in our newly decorated guest bedroom.
Have a great Saturday.

New magazine & punch needle
I received the first edition of a new crafts magazine called Wool Works
It's full of rug hook, appliqué and punch needle designs plus articles on what you can use for your rug foundation.
One of my favourite designers, Lori Brechlin of Not Forgotten Farm has a punch needle and rug hook design which I a in the process of making; here are some photos:
This is Jackson's head in the way as he was sitting next to me on the sofa.

I noticed some gaps after taking this photo which I have filled in. I'm now working on the background which I will share with you later.
We have had a light dusting of snow overnight and I am planning on working in my cabin this afternoon, heater is definitely going on and hour before I venture out there.

I met my goal today
I have finally achieved a couple of my goals today. I have a weekly goal of photographing 5 items and listing 5 items into my Etsy shop. Well today I photographed 14 pairs of earrings and 15 scissor keepers; a total of 29 items which means I have achieved all of January's photographic goals and part of February's too! I haven't achieved the listing goals but now I have them photographed makes it easier to list more regularly.
Here are some photo's
I even achieved a bracing walk along the river front today too, it certainly cleared my head.

My first needle felt and....
Update on the old homestead.
First here are a couple of photos of my first attempt at needle felting
If you haven't guessed it's meant to be a mouse ;o)
The tools of my needle felting trade. I made the felting pad myself from burlap and rice.
it is going to take some practice as this little mouse took all afternoon!
Now for the homestead update.
I have had quotes for the decorating and 2 of the bedrooms will be started on February 14th.
And we have started our revamp of the lounge by moving the TV from one side of the fire to the other, bought a new sofa, secondhand from Les & Gary's in Leigh-on-Sea Essex and an arm chair from another second-hand shop along the way from Les & Gary's. both absolute bargains.
This is where the TV was. This is our new sofa.
Now in it's new home, where it fits much better.
and our new armchair which ia am sitting now writing this.
Must be off to to housewifey things.
Blessed Be
Julie

Plans in place for 2017...
I have lots of plans for my craft business in 2017. I have written my plan and shared it with my life coach who will ensure I keep to it and achieve my goals.
I also have or I should say we have big plans for the old homestead.
We did work on the yard last year and this year it's inside that is getting it and it desperately needs it.
Follow me here to see the changes and for updates on my business.
Enjoy the rest of your day

I have been very busy...
Making new items for my Craft Fayre at work on September 28th.
I have made craft themed earrings and scissor keepers...
Scissor keepers made from recycled bracelet and craft charm.
My earrings are made with either my hand made beads or plastic beads. There are sewing, artist and knitting theme. These will be going in to my Etsy shop in October.
