Busy Wednesday

I was a busy little bee yesterday, I had the day off work to prepare for my upcoming Fairs. I made scented votive candles and wax tarts in the following scents:

Gingerbread House
Mulled Wine
Peppermint candy cane

I will be doing apple cinnamon at the weekend. I haven't made loads, just 8 votive of each scent and 5 wax tarts, one for sniffing and 4 to pair up. I have packaged them in small cellophane bags tied with homespun fabric. The votive candles will be £1.50 each and the wax tarts will be £1.50 for 2.

These will be for sale at my upcoming craft fairs.

I prepared some flexi frames I got from my friend Christine for cross stitch, as they are green and red I thought they would make the perfect tree decoration. These too will be for sale at my upcoming fairs. I haven't used all the frames so if you would like to commission a personalised one do let me know as soon as possible.

I have been packing my bags full of goodies for the Christmas Fayre at work on Wednesday December 2nd and I am getting very excited. We plan to decorate the room and play Christmas tunes to get everyone in the mood ;o). I look forward to seeing all my lovely friends and customers there.

I will be having 'Show Specials' at both fairs, I will be bringing along my wooden Rudolph the Reindeer price £24.95, he will be on offer for £15 and my tea towel racks price £25.95 will also be on offer for £15. There will be other 'Specials' too so do pop along an see me.

It's that time of year...

... folks where I am busy preparing for my upcoming Christmas Fayres.

I will be busy making scented candles, creating Christmas/Yule cross stitch items to sell, pot pourri and maybe some signs.

I will be attending 2 this year, one at work on December 2nd (which I organise) and The Burnham Festive Fayre on staurday December 5th. It is an open air event held in the High Street, Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex; from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

It will be my 4th year at the fair and it has always been worthwhile doing. It is well attended and has a great atmosphere. We have also been very lucky with the weather, cold but dry; so let's hope that luck continues this year.

I am taking a spot in one of the lit marquees this year as I did last year. The first 2 years I attended I had a separate pitch with my own gazebo, but that was a lot of work for me on my own and very difficult to light as there is no electricity supplied.

Here are some photo's of my stall.

These were all taken before it got dark!!!

So if you're looking for a great Christmas Fair to go to, this is the one. Come and see me!!!

Busy Weekend

I got myself organised this weekend. I made a plan to get housework done so I could get out in the cabin and get on with some crafting jobs; and I did it!

After sorting out the cabin post new chest of drawers I made some cinnamon apple soy candles (now listed in my Etsy shop. Primitive country pot pourri made using all natural ingredients that our ancestors would have used to scent their home through the winter months. I've yet to photograph it and put in my Etsy shop.

I have also packaged up my fabric covered candy canes to try and sell them as packs of 3, 4, 5 or 6 instead of singles. If it doesn't work then I'll go back to singles.

I have 2 Christmas Fayres coming up, December 2nd at my work (organised by me) and the Burnham Festive Fayre December 5th; so I'll be busy making more items for them, I'll keep you posted.

Blessed be

Wax dipped pine cones.....

I have bags of medium to small pine cones which I am in the process of dipping in scented wax:

Cinnamon Apple
Cinnamon Spice
Cinnamon Vanilla
Fireside (wood smoke)

I will be packaging them 15 to a bag which can be placed in a bowl on the their own or added to pot pourri and you can even put them on the an open fire or in a log burner (not for gas fires).

Photo's to follow.

Made some candles

You may remember a post last month where I mentioned I had purchased a number of candle tins.

Well I bought some soy wax (which fortuitously came with wicks) and I have made a dozen candles from the 1kg of wax.

I scented them using scented wax cubes.
