Visitors from our Twin Town L'Aiguillon-sur-mer

Last weekend we had visitors from out Twin Town L'Aiguillon-sur-mer. We hosted a couple Jacky & Edith, Jacky did not speak any English but Edith could speak a little (more than I can speak French) and we got on very well.

Everyone had a wonderful time even though not all of us can speak French and not all them spoke English, we managed to communicate. It was a full on weekend from the time they arrived late Friday afternoon to the time they left on Monday morning.

My Visit to Mount Vernon

I recently went on vacation to Washington DC and one of the highlights was being able to visit and walk around the plantation home of George Washington. It was an amazing and wonderful experience and I feel privileged to have seen it.

I took lots of photos of the North Garden for inspiration for my own.

I am hoping my butternut squashes do as well, they are a bit far away but you can just make them out ;o)

Here is the House, we weren't allowed to take photographs inside.

A new beginning...

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post on my new blog. It will be primarily for me to tell you about my hand crafted items, my successes and failures. I will post tutorials on various subjects from creating a point of sale display piece from a cardboard box to my own designs for cross stitch.

I have been inspired by some lovely ladies to share my experience, they are Lori from Not forgotten Farm and AJ from AJ's trash2treasure
