My name is Julie and I am addicted to creating with my hands. Ever since I was a little girl I was making things for my dolls, from furniture out cardboard boxes and egg boxes to clothes out of scraps of fabric; and totally hooked on the past and antiques.
I am now half a century old and still just as hooked if not more so. My Mom bless her couldn't understand my facination with old furniture as she grew up with old and second hand and only wanted new; though she was fond of make do and mend philosophy.
I find creating something of beauty from nothing or giving and old unwanted item a new lease of life heart warming. I'm not keen on the throw away society we live in today, I much prefer the make do and mend as my Mom and her Mom did.
In this blog I will share with you my finds to update, reuse and relove along with my own creatiosn and designs for cross stitch.
